Landmark case for Hong Kong’s LGBT community
April 4, 2017
In 2014 I had the absolute pleasure of officiating the wedding of Angus and Scott here in New Zealand.
A year later I was asked to be a part of a stunning ceremony in Iceland, where they were surrounded by loved ones.
This month marks an important victory for their relationship and for LGBT rights in Hong Kong. They have won their case against the Hong Kong government and have had their same-sex marriage recognised and granted the same spousal benefits as heterosexual civil servants.

Congratulations Angus and Scott!
